All about The Inside Out...

The Inside Out is the website for the Human Anatomy Revived Institute (H.A.R.) The HAR came about as a means of offering all interested parties a means of supplementing their anatomical understanding.

In training to be say, a medical practitioner, the amount of anatomical training is quite staggering; a manual therapist does not need this depth and width of training – to attempt such a programme would either deter the new student, or if he/she lasted the distance, would fill him/her with a false sense of capability. Yet, the text books available today, and the dissected specimens available at medical universities need a little supplementation on occasion.

The Inside Out will attempt to enhance and clarify your current knowledge.

We at the HAR Institute are not the only source of anatomical knowledge for the manual therapist – we are hoping to be among the best. Professional jealousy should not stop the dedicated therapist from listening to, and considering, all possibilities, when striving for a better understanding of his/her field of work.

The descriptions, and the observations, and the treatments, of common joint discomforts published herein, have all been the subject of clinical trials, before the conclusions have been presented for consideration.

Manual therapy, or massage, as it is sometimes called, has often been distorted by the introduction of strange myths and practices, involving ethereal beliefs; at The Inside Out, we use a term Massage Science to distance ourselves from such practices – hence our publications have a scientific approach.

The Inside Out deals with training - helping someone with a musculo-skeletal discomfort understand their predicament better, and, offering the already-trained therapist a view of the structure from another perspective.
